This is a powerful and complex ferment, not to mention the vivid colour. There's earthiness from the beetroot together with a little crunch from the cabbage and then you've got depth of flavour and sweet warmth from the cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and cardamom, all included in our own garam masala mix. Good enough to eat on its own or with feta or goats cheese. The Cultjar team love it alongside roast meats.

I am absolutely delighted with this product. I cannot eat anything pickled with vinegar and this product is a perfect way to eat raw vegetables that are preserved. The flavour is fab and I am enjoying it as an accompaniment to salads and my husband loves it with his cold meats.
