About Hill & Vale
Herbs and spices have long been overlooked in terms of product quality and freshness. What’s more, the origin and cultivar of these ingredients is rarely known and traceability is often non-existent. In early 2020, we decided to do something about this and set about up Hill and down Vale in regions far and wide. Our aim was, and still is, to provide equitably sourced and sustainably farmed ingredients straight from harvest. We are now working with herb and spice farmers in different countries around the world including: India, Sri Lanka, Italy, Spain, France, UK and Madagascar, with plans for more soon. Using these same ingredients, we also make organic certified spice blends that are ground and blended in small batches for added flavour. Our spice blends aim to be a true representation of where each flavour originates. We use salt in smaller quantities only where necessary and never use additives, fillers or anti-caking agents.
